Désirée Coral is an Ecuadorian artist who received her MFA degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she is currently a Doctoral researcher at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at the University of Dundee in Scotland.

Désirée explores and examines early global exchanges from the Americas to the rest of the world and vice versa using a decolonial lens to understand the contemporary relationships between humans, inter-species, and landscape.

She is an artist/researcher at the Botanical Gardens of the University of Dundee and G.R.E.E.N Artist in Residency at Forgan Art Centre, funded by the Crown State Fund with the project called Living Table

Désirée was the Glasgow Seed Library’s first artist/researcher in residence at the Contemporary Centre for the Arts in Glasgow, funded by the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities SGSAH.
